What can I do to boost online store’s sales of a non profit org?

I am helping intellectually challenged organization raise funds through their online store. They sell quillows, lap quilts and sock monkeys. What can I do to help boost their online sales? Currently not a single one is selling and I just started an adwords campaign to see if they can sell. Does anyone have any helpful advise?

maybe link to bigger pictures on your quillows page. The pictures are small.

Is that a room full of quillows at the top of the page?

  1. Their website offerings are not exactly hot consumer type things are they? I suggest that you suggest that they change their format to sell Donated items on their website. Either as a full price item or auction type.

  3. Can you show me the website? I know the idea of non-profit and marketing seem like polar opposites, but the idea you’re suggesting, it’s clear you are trying to sell something.

I’m involved in Internet marketing and there’s a VERY good chance that the webpage is making the same mistake(s) most websites make – which is either a) try to sell right from the landing page, right out of the gate, and if the visitor to the site doesn’t buy, he’s lost forever meaning you have no way to contact him or her, or b) you try to do too much on your landing page. The user should only ever have one option of what to do. But that’s getting ahead of ourselves.

The first thing your site should do is try to build a list of interest customers/prospects/people by offering them some kind of free information or gift in exchange for their email (or any contact info). It’s much easier to do than sell them something, and then you have the ability to contact that person in the future when you have some other kind of news or offer that you’d like to get out there. Your list is any business’s (profit or non-profit) number one asset – especially online. I’m not sure if this is making total sense or not. It’s late where I am. But…

It’s all about this idea, and should really help you out.

    Cheers. Hope that helps…
